St. Joseph Catholic Church

Welcome

Willkommen zu Westphalia

The history of Saint Joseph's and Catholicism in Westphalia are forever linked as the parish and town were established together in 1835. Saint Joseph's is the oldest parish in Osage County and third oldest active parish in the Diocese of Jefferson City.

Our patron saint, St. Joseph is held in great honor by the Church because of his care for Jesus and his love for Mary. He is the patron of carpenters, homeless persons, orphans, the Carmelite Nuns, and is prayed to for a happy death because he died in the arms of Jesus and Mary.
